Some birds think they own the place 🙂
Blue Jays Rule the Local Roost
The jays have been busy this winter, scarfing up the peanuts as soon as I throw them out each morning. They've also taken to the new peanut/suet log feeder, to the chagrin of the woodpeckers who believe any and all suet feeders are theirs alone.
Woodpecker Happenings
Lots of woodpeckers have taken to the suet feeders over the last few weeks. Their human admirer has upgraded their previously boring suet cake feeder... to the more upscale and apparently supreme peanut / suet log.
Signs in the snow
Our local turtle ponds have seen increased animal activity over the last 24-hours. Fox, deer, maybe even moose.
New Year, New Moon
Beautiful full moon lighting up a cold winter's night.
Rocky Ice Age
I love the cascade of snow, ice and icicles on rocks.
Ushering in 2018
New Year's Eve on the doorstep, and mother nature is preparing in style.
The Visitor
SomeBunny or SomeSquirrely came to visit sometime in the late night or early morning.
A Pot of (Cold) Gold Perhaps?
Beautiful rainbow / sundog
Sun & Snow
Snow-covered rock outcrop along our road. A sculpted landscape.
