There's nothing I anticipate more each year then the start of peony season. If only the blooms lasted all summer, but alas, nature provides small miracles in increments, just enough to fill the soul, and nose, with pleasure and contentment.

Drove through the northern tip / Channel of Manitoulin Island yesterday and despite the grey skies, there's no denying the stunning, rugged beauty of this jewel of Georgian Bay. Hope to get up there again and take more photos.
