Lazy spring days
Taken along the bi-ways of Parry Sound District.
My Home Town – Parry Sound
I wasn't born in Parry Sound, but for the last 30 years plus, I've lived in the area. It's small, it's rumour-filled, the population sign has changed in almost the same time, it's hokey - but aren't all small towns? Winter is harsh, but summers are beautiful - except for the tourists! Along our country road
Soft snow on lakes, ice slowing receding from local ponds, and lichen basking in spring warmth atop exposed rocks.
Harbour Lights
Parry Sound harbour is slowly transforming into her spring fashion, ice breaking up and the Seguin river rushing over the rapids. First Common Loon sighting in the harbour.

Soon, spring will blanket the fields with green, and the lakes and rivers will flow again. But for now, snow cover allows …
Woodpecker Happenings
Lots of woodpeckers have taken to the suet feeders over the last few weeks. Their human admirer has upgraded their previously boring suet cake feeder... to the more upscale and apparently supreme peanut / suet log.
Signs in the snow
Our local turtle ponds have seen increased animal activity over the last 24-hours. Fox, deer, maybe even moose.
Strike a Pose
Show me a more beautiful supermodel! Keito knows how to strike just that pose - she outta be in pictures 🙂
