There’s nothing I anticipate more each year then the start of peony season. If only the blooms lasted all summer, but alas, nature provides small miracles in increments, just enough to fill the soul, and nose, with pleasure and contentment.
Looking at flowers convinces me that there is a hidden force all around, tempting us with the simple pleasures, reminding us to stop, smell, look and admire the wonder

I love this time of year in the garden, so much promise and dreaming. It’s coming together, slowly. This is my oasis away from the world. Not a botanical garden, but my garden does reflect what I like and who I am.
I think it’s safe to say that no crocus will be breaking through the snow on the garden in the near future. Soon this will be a lush, green panoramic view!
